Soccer is shit. Actually, that's harsh.
But it does have the most passionate fans, whilst athletically being the least passionate of sports to watch.
I watched a documentary today which showed Stuart 'Psycho' Pierce being 'passionate' at scoring a penalty.
It was about as 'psycho' as a ten yr old winning a spelling bee.
I really don't understand how football (or soccer) is so popular. It's a highly skilled game (like so many other sports) with little to excite and virtually zero masculinity. The players are skinny kids and the fans seem to embrace the tribalistic element rather than the sport itself. Basically, if you don't fully commensurate your soul with the fervent nationalism or tribal socialistic supporting of a 'club' then you may as well watch paint dry. It's the sporting equivalent of watching Sven Ottke vs a durable fringe contender and not being German.
I don't hate football...it's moderately entertaining. But so are plenty other sports. And so is wanking off to over 40's porn. But I don't quite see the attraction in that as others find in the sporting equivalent that is football...but I might soon, seeing as I'm nearly 40.
And that depresses me.
Kinda like football.

I hate soccer. Im a fan on sports like Boxing and Football where, even when hurt, you continue and try to show little if any pain.
Soccer is the complete opposite... you get touched, you flop and try to sell that shit.
Basketball is headed in the same direction. Its unbearable.
