Roger Mayweather, uncle and trainer of Floyd Mayweather Jr. (42-0, 26KOs), could picture his nephew taking a fight at 160-pounds with Sergio Martinez - but the money has to be right. On May 5th, Mayweather moves up to 154-pounds, for the second time in his career, to challenge WBA champion Miguel Cotto at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

"He might fight at 160, but there has to be enough money. [If there's] enough money, sh*t..he might jump to 175-pounds....who knows. Motherf***er get that money. I would tell him to go to 175 to get that paper," Roger told BoxingScene.com.

Roger explained that his nephew, along with boxing legends Henry Armstrong and Robert Duran - are the only three boxers in history to make huge titles leaps from 130 to 154/160-pounds. Roger intentionally ignored the eight division title run of Floyd's career rival, Manny Pacquiao.

"Last three great fighters to come from 130-pounds and go to 154 or 160....one of them is Henry Armstrong. He won a title at featherweight, lightweight, welterweight and fought a draw for the middleweight. The next one is Robert Duran. He went from 135 to 147 and whooped Ray Leonard's ass, He jumped to 154 to whoop Davey Moore and then he jumped up to 160-pounds to whoop Iran Barkley. The next one to jump up from 130-pounds is my nephew....130, 135, 140, 147 and 154. He whooped De La Hoya at 154," Roger said.

I'd rather watch Andre Ward be the one to knock Mayweather's teeth so far down his throat that he's smiling out of his ass, which will make at least one writer happy because Floyd will still be smiling directly at him.

Hope the video camera is ready.

Mayweather wants a huge split with Pac, it could work out to be way more than 70%. how high could he price himself out of a fight with Martinez at 160, Ward at 168 or Hopkins at 175? he would give them a value meal from mcdonalds and a signed poster of himself

Perhaps Floyd should say something bad against someone who will react and contribute to the hype of his upcoming Cotto fight.
