You can't out-troll me Byrd Man...lol...just give up on that bullshit for a minute.
Not trolling at all. You CAN out troll me, that's not difficult because that type of shit interest me none.

Oh and congrats! You found some crazy woman yelling about obamaphones. Nice. Wonder how many racist republicans I can find to link to....hmmmm...

The point being, that woman is not reflective of anything but crazy people. Anyone that tries to make it more than that is reaching for something to attack the President on.

I have a lot of serious issues with the President, but made up bullshit isn't part of it.
lol

Yeah, every single shit kicking Republicant here in TX LOVES the Obama-Phone lady, they use her in daily speech to defend their stances...and trying to explain what you stated is like talking to a F'N brick wall!

In their mind EVERY single person that voted for Obama was the Phone Lady.....totally ignoring the fact that White, well educated, non-welfare recipiant, gainfully employed people like myself also voted for the man. rolleyes

But really in the end....let them continue to cling to non-existant, made up insanity/conspiricy shit....all it will do is conintue to lose them elections....

Which is a shame because as I have stated before, some of their goals and platforms I agree with. Just yesterday Prick Perry (in a RARE instance of me agreeing with him) said that he wants to make drug testing mandatory for Lone Star Card (wellfare) usere....I totally agree with this, although if he does not find a way to do it economically, it will be more trouble that it's worth...as it turned out to be in Florida when they tried it a few years back.

AND...in an ultra rare version of aggrement....I TOTALLY agree with Spyder on this point he made.

dem is the facts.

You're right....Democrats usually deal in facts. taunt

While I'm on here, let's give a few FACTS about the Obamaphone....

Here's a couple I'm sure Spyder might like to ignore.

"During the Bush administration, there was the introduction of a project that gave subsidies to those who could not afford a phone."
also
"The Lifeline Program Orginated in 1984 during the administration of Ronald Reagan"

http://obamaphone.net/
http://www.snopes.com/politics/taxes/cellphone.asp
http://www.forbes.com/sites/kellyphillip...-for-real/

You see how differently things can look when you take REAL WORLD FACTS into account???

It's not like these folks have new iphones with unlimited talk/text and web....

these are simple phones with approx. 70 free minutes per month and are supposed to be used for emergency situations such that COULD save millions of other dollars....

Would you rather have spent money on a cheap cell phone with a few minutes if it meant a person could call 911 for help with a situation BEFORE it blows up into a situation that requires a hospital stay for a person on wellfare?

these are the things people don't think about when it comes to programs like this.....and I"m sure a cost benifit study was done and is done on a regular basis. AND YES, of course there is misuse of the system, but that can be said of ANY process....

I don't care if it's a multi-million person pool like wellfare....or the guy in front of you taking two papers out of the newspaper vending machine instead of his one paid for copy....

you will never rid any system of misuse....the important thing is that the MAJORITY are using it correctly...

now in this perfect Republican Utopia none of these things would be paid for....and I get it....it's the way they want things to be...

but for me...I'm fine with it.

For me...wellfare programs are like the guy that asked me for a few bucks in the parking lot of Target the day before yesterday....I gave him $4. That $4 did not break me, and I cannot really say that he did use it correctly or if he suckered me....but at the end of the day, my consience was clean and I was able to survive without that $4.....so in the end....it did not kill me. I'd rather give and be ignorant of what took place with my money than to NOT give and have people that really need help not get it.

I hate that this thread has degenerated.

The bottom line is this:

Both Romney and Obama were politicians who play to win. Winning an election means making sure that you don't offend anyone who might vote. Both guys are pieces of shit who put their careers over the future of the country - BUT MAYBE OBAMA HAS PLANNED FOR THIS ALL ALONG. Maybe he knows that as the leftist democrat since Carter he is possibly the ONLY ONE WHO COULD CREDIBLY GO BACK TO AARP/UNIONS/LAWYERS/HEALTH CARE INDUSTRY with a compromise that was credible.

Let's all pray (even though I'm not at all religious) that Obama is aiming for greatness in his second term and that the Republicans have no choice but to go along with him because his Grand Bargain offer is so totally reasonable - forcing both parties to lose massive amounts of seats in both houses of congress.

Jaime Dimon said it best: "In Europe, they have the will but they don't have the way. In America, we all know the way, but we just don't have the will."

We're all on the same team and we have to acknowledge that our leaders are genuinely pieces of shit that should all be burned alive for putting their careers before their country. Our politicians are all compromised and corrupt from day 1.

He's watered down damn near everything to cater to Republicans in some sadistic attempt to get them to like him, when they keep kicking him in the balls at every turn.

If he was a real Liberal, shit would have went a lot different over the past four years. We might have single payer health care, Guantanmo would have been closed, we would have had actual immigration reform, Health reform and a whole slew of other things.

But everyone can pretend this guy is a socialist commie Kenyan all ya want though.

And my final post in this thread will be this. I just saw an interesting post on another site. For years Republicans have been criticized for the so-called "Southern Strategy" where they would appeal to racists because they figured they could just say fuck all to the black and latinos and everyone else, and win by courting the racist whites vote.

Republicans have pushed back on this and insisted that it isn't true, even though the former head of the RNC actually apologized to the NAACP for it some years back.

Well now that audio has finally been unearthed, and here is a significant moment in that where they outline out you can do this. You can't just throw out the N word because after awhile that's not accepted. So you use phrases like "States rights" and "Forced busing" and that type of thing to appeal in a dog whistle fashion.

http://www.youtube.com/v/X_8E3ENrKrQ

Quote:You start out in 1954 by saying, ?Nigger, nigger, nigger.? By 1968 you can?t say ?nigger??that hurts you, backfires. So you say stuff like, uh, forced busing, states? rights, and all that stuff, and you?re getting so abstract. Now, you?re talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you?re talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is, blacks get hurt worse than whites.? ?We want to cut this,? is much more abstract than even the busing thing, uh, and a hell of a lot more abstract than ?Nigger, nigger.?

This is a prime example of the issues that the Republican/Conservative party has with non white voters. Historically they've not been ones to give two fucks about them, so now when it appears they need them, they aren't having an easy time and they're faced with possibly losing every election for President in the years to come unless they can overcome this stigma of their past which still lingers to this day.

Clearly all Republicans and Conservatives don't feel this way, and I don't mean to infer that all of them or even most of them do. But a whole lot do, especially a lot that are in power. And that has to change if the conservative movement wants to have a chance at winning again.

You can blame it on "stuff" and "gifts" and whatever you need to tell yourself to make yourself feel better about the electoral college ass whipping that the Republicans just suffered, but if you keep clinging to that mindstate, then you're never going to get past where you're at now.

Just my thoughts, take them for whatever.

And that is my last comment in this thread. Best to everyone in here.

I'm not a birther. It's called humor, and you're a child. You are trying to have a conversation about grown up things, and you can't help getting emotional when facts are put in front of you. I always say, "If you want to piss off a liberal, just tell the truth and support it with facts." Now look at you...

Call that trolling if you want, but all you've done is spout Obama talking points BS about shit that is clearly false. Like Romney said, you think that if you say something enough times then it will all of a sudden become true. Typical liberal red herring BS. Anything to distract from the truth.

I said Obama was the most leftist president SINCE Carter, which is a fact. It doesn't make him a bad human being, but he is very definitely left of the mainstream America and he's a populist who plays class warfare as his standard operating procedure. And he's very clearly owned by the unions.

He only presented one budget in 4 years and the CBO projected 10 years of $1T deficits, which is why it lost in the senate 97-0. The reason his budget was so horrible was because he refused to LEAD by CUTTING ANYTHING except taxes - which meant that nobody had any reason to hate him. It was the most chickenshit move of any president in my lifetime. The fact that he's gone 3 years without putting his cards on the table at a time of a very real fiscal crisis is nothing short of shameful and borderline treasonous.

The baby boomers are retiring at over 10,000 a day and as the very last president before they retired, Medicare and Social Security were the two biggest issues of his presidency but seniors vote so he didn't do a fucking thing about it. Taxing Millionaires up to 43% (excluding state, local, sales, and inheritance taxes) with Obamacare included will generate an additional $80BN a year. There's still another $1.1T annual gap to fill. I haven't heard a single idea out of him to fix it - because any ideas would, by definition, BE PAINFUL.

Closing Guantanamo would have made him look "weak on defense", which, as a democrat who is very much doing the right thing by getting us the hell out of Iraq and Afghanastan, is something he was keen to avoid because he's been running for reelection since day 1.

W. was the very worst president of our generation, but Obama is giving him a good run for his money. Total chickenshit.

Could not agree more....for him to have been FAR left, he would have not given in on the single payer health care for sure!

The same goes for the Republicans....guys they hold up in high esteem from their past would never make it as a Republicunt today.

The Man-God himself of the Republican't party...Ronnie Reagan would not even have been loved by his own party in 2012.

Here is a fairly interesting article on the subject.

http://www.nationalmemo.com/six-republic...n-primary/

If you don't feel like reading here are the highlights...once again...these are FACTS so Spyder and his minion might want to cover their eyes for the following lol :

1.) Abraham Lincoln would have been trashed as a socialist for opposing states? rights to allow slavery, and for standing up for labor with this quote: "Labor is prior to and independent of capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration."

2.) Teddy Roosevelt?s square deal ? which focused on conserving natural resources, reigning in corporations, and providing new consumer protections ? would be anathema to modern Republicans. Furthermore, his attacks against ?the representatives of predatory wealth? would certainly have nauseated Cory Booker.

3.) Modern Republicans would surely have turned on Dwight Eisenhower for this quote, in which he chastises Texas oil millionaires for trying to abolish Social Security (among other government programsSmile
"Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes you can do these things. Among them are H. L. Hunt (you possibly know his background), a few other Texas oil millionaires, and an occasional politician or business man from other areas."

4.) Richard Nixon would have been blasted as a big-government tree-hugger for his role in creating Republicans? least favorite part of the government, the Environmental Protection Agency.

5.) George H.W. Bush would struggle to live down his support for abortion rights and his dismissal of Reagan?s tax plan as ?voodoo economics? in the modern Republican party.

6.) Although today?s Republicans don?t like to admit it, Ronald Reagan raised taxes 12 times during his two terms in office.

Total shame how far the party has lost it's way. ALL of these GREAT past leaders would be considered no good SOB's by today's Republican Party.
