RE: Politics Unfiltered
Government intervention prevented another depression six or seven years ago. Any economist would tell you that.

RE: Politics Unfiltered
If Roosevelt's policies worked so well, why did the depression last 16 YEARS, and why is is that in 1921 when Warren Harding did the opposite of Roosevelt (cut spending, cut taxes, cut regulations) the economy recovered in 16 MONTHS?

This is what government intervention does! As did the war on drugs or the war on poverty! http://waronirrationalfear.com/facts

RE: Politics Unfiltered
Different situations. You can't really compare the two. Oh, and I'm not convinced that the War on Drugs wasn't an effort to increase the drug trade. You're still avoiding the question about the most recent economic turnaround. In countries where there was high government involvement, there was a quick turnaround.

RE: Politics Unfiltered
All cause the American progressives caused banks to make banks make loans to people who couldn't afford them and compounded by the Federal Reserve! Then it was sold as a product globally which caused the crash in the first place! I didn't avoid any question at all...I am just not a statist! lol

Not that you'd read it! LOL http://mises.org/daily/3131

RE: Politics Unfiltered
How did American "progressives" cause banks to make loans to people who couldn't afford them? I mean, aside from a few soundbites about giving loans to hard-working families, that was all about the banks being deregulated.

Please type. I'm on my phone, and I can't watch videos. At least pretend to be able to express your arguments.

RE: Politics Unfiltered
And don't get me wrong, the banks had fault in the bust because they did what the government told them too! EVERYONE lost on the deal. Hell it even killed the construction trade! Government made loans to non-qualified people easy, and then backed them with taxpayer dollars (through Fannie and Freddie), which caused housing prices to rise under false pretenses. Likewise, the Fed has been holding interest rates falsely low, which signals an availability of capitol that doesn't actually exist. This is what has caused the housing crises.

It wouldn't do any good. Debating someone who knows nothing about economics and the real facts in the whole boom and bust is silly anyhow! And you can't watch a video? What the fuck, is it an Obama phone or some shit???

It was government regulations (I guess you could call it government deregulation's) (sic) that caused the whole boom and bust! Anyone who believes differently knows very little and only believes politician talking points in the land of unicorns and a progressive/socialist utopia! smh Get your facts straight before you come at me with your weak bullshit Aunt Sally!!!!!

Every regulatory agency in the history of regulatory agencies goes basically the same route. This is why government should never be in the business of "regulating" anything. The entire fascist model of economics is centered on control of the economy and means of production through "regulations." We operate on the same model.
