Manti Te'o was one of the top 3 college football players this past season, and claimed that his grandma and girlfriend both died on the same day as a big football game. He played like a beast that game, so the story became kind of legendary. Well, news came out that not only did his girlfriend not die, but she never even existed. He claims to have met her on the internet, but never had a face to face meeting...anyway, the whole thing is a hoax.

It's actually rather sad and there's something I don't get! Here he is, a huge star on the football team and goes to Notre Dame yet can't get a real girlfriend? Something is up with that!

He probably had a fake girlfriend because he has a real boyfriend.

The fact that he lied to his pops makes me think that he was trying to hide something from his family. Being gay makes a lot of sense.
