It seems both have mentioned eachother for later this year. Canelo said he is looking at either Cotto, Martinez or Angulo. Team Martinez said they would take the fight only if it's at Middleweight & on HBO!

This fight would be big if both fighters win their next bouts!

Martinez should take it at 154 and be grateful that he is getting a big money fight. After all he and is team were even saying they could suck down to 147 to fight Floyd.

By live bodies in his division, do you mean like Chavez Jr who was the best 160 at the time and the top 2 middleweights fighting each other? He just did that in his previous fight.

Maybe if Canelo was more established Martinez would make more sacrifices to make that fight happen. But at the end of the day Mayweather offers MUCH more than Canelo!

i don't think many pro athletes are going to jump at the chance to be a B side like that, it isn't the same as fighting Pac or Mayweather at 154 since they were the #1 and #2 fighters in the sport and biggest names in the sport.
