Pound 4 Pound rankings
What's the p4p rankings for you guys? Had some solid performances in recent weeks with Rigo, Mayweather, Canelo etc.

Mine always change, but today mine would probably look something like this.

  1. Mayweather
  2. Ward
  3. Marquez
  4. W.Klitschko
  5. Martinez
  6. Rigondeaux
  7. Mares
  8. Donaire
  9. Bradley
  10. Pacquiao

Canelo, Froch, Garcia, John, Gamboa, Guerreo, Gonzalez all other names not too far off (Canelo could be in the 10 as well, with a few of the other names).
We also have up and coming fighters who maybe won't be too far off from the 10 either.

A few people may have issue with how high you have Martinez and Wlad...lol

I think that the gap between Rigo and Donaire needs to be wider.

Fitz, you have a solid list. I would put Rigo over Martinez at this point and I can't have Bradley over Pacquiao.

RE: Pound 4 Pound rankings
Rigo isn't higher. Purely because I like to see a little bit of longevity or I want to see more than 1 good win before putting someone in the top 5. That's my only reason. Too many times has someone jumped too high up with a great win and then fall straight back off. That's my only reason.
Martinez looked shit in his last fight, and I have dropped him. I expect him to keep sliding down if he keeps putting performances up like that. But he is still winning the fights and his good run has continued.
Wlad I have never put that high, but I feel more comfortable with him over Martinez and he is more proven than Rigondeaux at this point. Rigo needs to do more than have 1 win to break the top 5.

RE: Pound 4 Pound rankings
I think Wlad is deserving of a fairly high rank due to his longevity (damn near a decade since losing) and like some of the other top guys like Mayweather the guy doesn't lose too many rounds. If he doesn't KO you he dominates to a WIDE UD.

RE: Pound 4 Pound rankings
Wladimr should be on everybody's list. Dude has been dominant for a very long time now. I don't usually rate heavyweights to high on these lists but he's an exception. Your analysis on Rigo is fair. Donaire was on Everybody's top 5 list and Rigo dominated him. But I agree, I could be jumping the gun on this one.

Wlad and Martinez dont crack the top 10.

Wlad only "dominates" b/c the comp at heavy blows donkey dick.

Martinez...well...he's Martinez. Nuff said.
