Im worried Bud and Loma have gone up too far.

Sure, they can handle themselves just fine at welter/light...but it's very possible they're not going to be quite as special at these higher weights as they were in their optimal divisions.

Loma's two 135 fights would definitely support that opinion, and the jury is still out on Crawford. He looked 'good', but not 'great' in his two 147 appearances thus far.

This will sound hypocritical as they are both 1 & 2 on my list but going by the past..they're way too high!

Loma has most definitely been put on a pedestal & has become overrated by media & fans!

Both their biggest wins were against miniature Cubans that had no business fighting at the weights they were & then Walters & Jeff Horn.

By saying that, Crawford is only 1 known name away from knocking Loma off of the top!

It seems p4p rankings these days are based on one big win rather than a complete resume.

For that reason you get lots of flashes in the pan dotted around the rankings...guys who've beaten a big name (who may or may not have been having an off day) and automatically find themselves on a p4p list when in reality they're not as good as many long standing titlists.

That’s the nature of the sport now. Guys fight twice per year and have one big fight every two years.

Sad but true.

A lot of them are even bypassing the phase where they take on former champs, contenders and veterans on the way up before challenging for world titles.

They go from debutant to prospect to title challenger to p4p entrant in less than fifteen fights.

RE: Pound 4 Pound rankings
Well some fighters don't even have 1 good/big win and they're appearing on lists. Others have only faced former champs, contenders & vets and are being placed high. Our current p4p #1 has only had 13 pro fights for fuck sake lol.

Boxers are most definitely skipping scenes and bypassing particular fights. Guys get title shots way too early and with more belts (and divisions) than ever..it's very easy for fighters to be champion or to become a 4 division champion without putting in the hard yards. People vacate titles, move up and down, retire..some don't even fight their mandatories.

The sport is sooo fkn unorganized..yet it's still in an exciting state with many very talented boxers and personalities today..at least we are seeing some good/interesting matchups..

To be fair..I could see Spence 13-14 but figured everyone else above him have either got a better win or resume than Spence.

If Spence can beat a fighter like Danny Garcia then that could break him into the top 10
