You don't see this kind of stuff too often. The last example I can really think of that somewhat parallels Rousey/Holm is Tyson/Holyfield.

Both fights saw the greater "star" fighter receiving far wider odds in their favor than should have ever been the case. Tyson was anywhere from 25-1 to 10-1 from what I remember over Holyfield the first time; Rousey/Holm odds fell in that range. In both fights we saw the star fighter get dominated and stopped. Rematch happens, star (draw) fighter is still the favorite, just not nearly as heavy. In the case of Tyson-Holyfield you could get odds from 2-1 to 3-1 on Tyson. I expect it to be similar with Rousey/Holm II.

I guess first we need to hear from Rousey. As far as I know she hasn't released a statement yet right? This first loss could completely ruin her. Maybe it's another Hamed case where the flashy star gets embarrassed by someone technically superior and mentally can't get back into it ever again and she goes away... or maybe she overcomes it and is humbled a bit. Either way Holm not only will have every physical/fighting edge over Rousey when they meet a second time, but psychologically it would take a miracle for Rousey to overcome Holm in a second meeting.

Bet the house on Holm against Rousey II, and for a few extra bucks bet the house on Holm by stoppage since it's clear Rousey can't go rounds. If anything, Holm probably grabs the KO quicker the next time.

Man, I hope that's true, but I don't see how Rousey could be the favorite in a rematch after she was dominated like that. With Silva-Weidman, I can understand how Silva could still be considered the favorite because he literally dropped his hands and let himself get knocked out.

Rousey-Holm was no fluke. Ronda just got her ass kicked, there's really no other way to say it.
