Dude was definitely fighting to NOT get KO'd.

To be fair to Chris he must have been awfully frustrated with his trainer keeping him in the cage right up until the 10th round.

hahahahaha.

You could tell how frustrated he was by how he reacted when his trainer finally let him out of the cage!

Algieri was warned 3 times (that I remember) during the fight to keep his punches up and none of the 3 were even remotely close to being low. All 3 were right on the belt line, which if anything was a bit high on Algieri.

Pacquiao landed similar body shots and was not warned to keep his punches up.

Not that it made a bit of difference in the fight, but just something I noticed.

the damn ref didn't let algieri get off. everytime algieri was about to get some success downstairs the ref would warn him. seriously y'all, sometimes i forget just how corrupt boxing can be.

algieri fucked up too. he thought the fight was going to be easy and he laxed off on training. those weight issues definitely played a role in his lack of fire. whenever he caught paquiao with right hands, you could see the pac man blink and get off balance. lord knows what would have happened had my boy been 100%. we talkin lights out baby.

That's way more analysis than this fight called for. Pac never did more than coast...and he won every second and dropped the guy 6 times. Algieri didn't belong there and class has a way of showing itself.

Algieri outclassed - discussion over.

Yeah...it's funny as shit. I like how he referenced it at the end of the Algieri fight.

I hope to God it's not Jesse Vargas next. He stands even less of a chance than Algieri did...and Algieri has zero shot.

I'd love to see Pac stop some dudes and bring some excitement back to the sport.

Man, I thought Jesse Vargas SUCKED, particularly after Josesito Lopez beat his azz and lost a decision.

But then he kept at it, beat Omotoso which was a solid win, beat Allehkverdiev who is a very solid win (I thought he would lose that one) and then beat DeMarco, which is another decent win.

I won't sleep on the guy now, I think he could beat Algieri.

That's fair...but stylistically he is going to be right there for Pac.

Providnikov is a better win than demarco. Algieri is a decent fighter, he just went from fighting a B level opponent to a first ballot hall of famer. I think Pac getting stopped and building his confidence back up made some people give Algieiri more of an edge then when he got outclassed it made them think Algieiri was just garbage. He's got a lot to work on to beat a Pac or Mayweather

I thought Algieri lost to Provod anyways. And Allehkverdiev is probably just as good as Provod.

But yeah, Pac is a completely different level which is a big reason why Algieri looked so bad.
