Duco got Joe right out of the gates when he turned pro and nobody knew him. They cunningly locked him in to a 6 year deal. On one hand I do admire what they have been able to achieve, especially getting a world title fight in NZ. On the other hand.................they can be a real cowboy outfit and I'm not sure whether some of the guys in Duco are the best sort of guys for Joe to be hanging around with. In a couple of years when his contract expires the fun and games will really begin. I hope he walks away from them to be honest.
With Izu they dangled the promise of a contract in front of him for 2 fucken years without putting something tangible in front of him to sign. so of course eventually he and his management decide to sign with Uncle Al, who has been chasing him for a while and Duco now have their panties in a bunch that someone else has got him.
