I think the US is still producing incredible fighters like it's always done. Terrence Crawford, Andre Ward, Mikey Diaz, Keith Thurman, Leo Santa Cruz (is he American-Mexican or just plain Mexican?) etc...
it's just that the rest of the world (and specifically Russia and the Eastern European states) have caught up massively. When somewhere like the Ukraine is producing the slickest fighter in the world with a style Ray Leonard would have been proud of, you know boxing has become a truly international sport. Black |
