Man fuck this!!! Cotto comes in at 153.5?? That's not even Middleweight. The MW champ is fighting a guy at a catchweight and on top of that, doesn't even come at the Middleweight limit.
Cotto should lose his title and get fined for this! This feels like some Pac-Marg shit!
WAR GEALE!!!!

It seems like Cotto is being a cunt for all of the years he's a 2nd tier fighter to Arum.

That's fucked up, but I guess somebody will agree with it. I hope Geale beats his ass and takes his title. Cotto won't fight GGG, so he should just vacate the titles, go down to 154 and fight Canelo.

You mean go UP to 154 Big Grin

Geale looks weak from making 157.

I have never seen a fighter look so emaciated and weak from making weight and that includes Oscar V. Pacquiao.

Agreed. It would not surprise me to see Cotto walk through Geale similar to the way Golovkin did for this reason. At least Golovkin had a fresh non-asterisk Geale in there with him.

I never understood why Oscar came in at 145 for that fight. Dumbest move ever.

This is the problem, any win Cotto gets now always has that * next to it.

There isn't any issue with Cotto being a middleweight and coming in at 153.5, 150 or 147. He can fight at middleweight at any weight he wants. The issue is making Geale come in at 157.

Yeah guys can come in as light as they want. A weight class limit by definition means the maximum; all that matters is that the fighters are at the maximum or under. Roy Jones came in at 193 for his heavyweight fight against Ruiz. What's BS is when guys are forced to come in lighter because the maximum is lowered, such as 157 for this fight.

This weight issue is really bothering me. What's the point of beating a guy if you made him boil himself down to a weigh that he shouldn't even be fighting at in the first place? Isn't that an admission that the opponent is too good? What's the point of fighting a guy that is going to perform like a dehydrated epileptic?
