Best heavyweight Era
What era of heavies was the best, had the most talent, the deepest pool of top guys, best fights etc.....

I was in a thread on Facebook about this between the 70s and 90s. Most people in there are idiots I'd love to hear everybody's thoughts and opinions.

1900s. The heavyweights were smaller, probably 195 pounds on average, but the division was stacked and plenty of ATGs regularly fought everyone from middleweight to heavyweight. Nobody ever mentions that era either.

RE: Best heavyweight Era
The 70's would be the obvious choice...Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Norton all together in one division at the same time? Ridiculous!

And of course the mid-to-late 90's, too. Holyfield, Bowe, Tyson, Lewis....if a few more fights had been made it could have topped the 70's.

Better fights in the 70's but I think 90's was a deeper division.

Nice point Dick, say when are you due to go back to Gravy?

RE: Best heavyweight Era
90s had 20+ legit contenders if not more.

RE: Best heavyweight Era
How would the below fights go?

Vitali vs Wilder (I think Vitali murders him, his chin holds up and would smash Wilder's chin in the process)

Tua vs Wilder
