One point I do want to make is that it seems history will forever see Fury as 'playing' or 'toying' with Klitschko in his win over him, much as some now see Ali as 'toying' with Liston in their first fight when it was in fact a darned close scrap.
Fury didn't dominate Wlad. He shocked him with a close but unanimous decision. It wasn't 120-108 as some (including Fury) would have you think. It was a fairly competitive bout that Fury edged. Just putting that out there for those implying Fury toyed with a guy Joshua struggled with. TBH it's hard working out who did the better job with Klitschko out of Fury and Joshua. Joshua was clearly facing a better, more focused and in shape Wlad. But Fury didn't have to get up off the canvas. Black |
