RE: Potential Mayweather-McGregor numbers.
The thing is, I reckon if McGregor were to dedicate himself to boxing properly and took the traditional route including a gradual build from 6 to 10 to 12 rounders, he seems to be the type who would fast track to world glory. He is certainly athletic, powerful, tough and strong minded enough to do so.
But even an absolute naturally gifted athlete and combat specialist would struggle to go 12 rounds with a world class fighter in their first fight. Lomachenko, with all his incredible amateur credentials and exquisite boxing ability showed how difficult it is when being beaten by Salido in his second fight. Now bear in mind Loma had already had 300-odd amateur boxing matches, a professional test run to kick off with and was in with a guy a quarter of Money's level - and he still lost. I struggle to see how Conor goes 12. Regardless of the opponent's power. Black |

He could've stopped them if he wanted to. He didn't want to. McGregor will be no different. Floyd will make it as easy as possible and fuck the fans over with another shitty fight.

RE: Potential Mayweather-McGregor numbers.
But McGregor IS different. As Black correctly points out above, McGregor won't be able to go 12 rounds. All of Floyd's previous opponents that he may have decided not to KO were accustomed to going 12 rounds. McGregor is not and will be 1 punch away from going down from exhaustion from about mid-fight onward. It could be a stoppage from being gassed. I think back to Jefferson/Izon a long time ago, which basically shows what can happen when you're out of gas in the ring.

Or do you want to believe Floyd will be different and actually perform.

Floyd doesn't have to perform much, as McGregor will be unable to perform at all by mid-fight.

As im sitting here thinking...just think of all the physical energy that the mental aspec of the game drains. Conor wont last if he trained for a year...too much to think about.

Against Floyd, where he will be missing shots, which is much more exhausting than hitting something, taking punishment, and constantly being put out of position, he will be drained fast. |

Manny and Berto were easy ko wins. Both went the distance. Berto has never had great stamina.

Conor looked like he was gonna feint through being exhausted against Nate Diaz..huffing, puffing with his mouth wide open with his hands on his hips. He also looked very lost and vulnerable when he was getting touched by Diaz..who didn't do a good job of stepping on the pedal when he should have. Conor was lucky for that reason as he had no answer for when he was in trouble except for cover..and that was it.

RE: Potential Mayweather-McGregor numbers.
Apparently Malignaggi and Conor just went 12 rounds. Paulie said it was back and forth through to about the 6th, then Conor faded and came on in the 11th and 12th. Which means he basically took off 5 rounds in sparring against a washed up, third tier fighter who hasn't even been training. This is going to be easy work. I can't believe how many internet Conor cult followers legit think he is going to crush Mayweather! hahahaha. Far out, blind faith is a cult if ever I've seen one!
