RE: Potential Mayweather-McGregor numbers.
I doubt McGregor would fight Cotto, he isn't a big enough name anymore. It would have to be Pac, or the winner of GGG vs Canelo. I hope Pac just retires to be honest, he is punching above his weight already and he is past it. But Pac is the least risk for the most reward for McGregor, but Arum wouldn't allow it. He would rather see the torch passed to one of his own stable, Horn in the rematch and the winner vs Crawford.
If we see another cross over, I think it will be Nate Diaz. No idea who he fights though, 168 has no big names, he could cut to 160 for the winner of GGG vs Canelo though. If McGregor comes back I expect to see him take a fight he could win first, before he has a go at GGG or Canelo, maybe the washed up Paulie (somebody smaller that won't be able to hurt him). I thought the same JD, it was way too quick to announce numbers, particularly for a fight of this magnitutde, and the source seems to be Dana White (who probably leads the world in lies told), has anybody seen Showtime confirm this? |
