RE: Lomachenko vs Mayweather @ 130
It would be a very defensive tactical bout but if anyone was gonna be the aggressor here, I'd think it would be Loma pressing. Mayweather would most likely press if he was forced to react and counter.

RE: Lomachenko vs Mayweather @ 130
Mayweather fought hard at 130lbs. His punch output was much higher. If he was on the outside, he was trying to break his guy down, or he would stand in the pocket and exchange hard. Loma on the other hand is effectively a technical pressure fighter - almost all of his work is done on the inside. No idea how anybody could think this would be a snoozer! Loma is never that type of fighter and Mayweather was only that type of fighter in the second half of his career.

Mayweather was much more aggressive at 130. He had mad hand speed and threw punches in bunches. His pot shotting seemed to start late on at 130 when his hands were hurting him and he began cruising to decisions...and this kind of carried on from 135 upwards.

Mikey stating that if he's presented with the Loma fight at 135, he'll take it.

Loma and Mikey are really the only two established names around 135-130 so I can see why it is being mentioned. But they both have a lot to do still in their own divisions (Mikey to win a legit belt or two), Loma to rematch Salido and unify another belt.

The Verdejo or Gervonta Davis fights need to simmer for a bit longer, those guys aren't established yet.

Yeah let the fight build. Both have massively unfinished work at their own respective divisions.

Berchelt looked great on Sat night, for instance, and I wouldn't mind seeing him in with Loma.

I feel like Mayweather-Lomachenko could end up being similar to Mayweather-Castillo I where it's one of those super close tough fights to score that could go either way. I'd still lean toward Mayweather though based purely on pro experience and 130 pound fight experience.

I like Loma...but Floyd handles him no problem at 130

Doesn't that Rigo fight shine a whole new light on this matchup. I'm actually leaning towards Loma slightly now.

It's a close one. We have Black on Loma, JD and Brutal on Mayweather, Ollie slightly leaning towards Mayweather, I think I'm slightly leaning towards Loma now, and Viper and Jon on the fence!
