RE: Golovkin vs Jacobs
Who is Lemieux in that scenario, Jon? GGG or Canelo?

RE: Golovkin vs Jacobs
I've never been sold on Golovkin. I remember saying he got frustrated trying to box with Rubio and just rolled through him with his power to make it an easy fight. I think every opponent he's had he could either comfortably box or comfortably out punch. Jacobs gave him some adversity and the myth of this dude being someone that can beat anyone 160-175 got fucking destroyed.

RE: Golovkin vs Jacobs
Canelo is a slightly more skilled Lemy with less power.

RE: Golovkin vs Jacobs
Damn, bro, that's a harsh assessment. You really think GGG would outbox Canelo like he did Lemy?

RE: Golovkin vs Jacobs
He's gonna jab him to death... i can see Canelo getting frustrated and trying to trade with GGG....
GGG will decapitate him. |

RE: Golovkin vs Jacobs
Did anyone ever really consider Golovkin/Ward a possibility? Golovkin always looked like he was going to stay at 160 to me, while Ward was talking about/moving up from 168 to 175. I just don't see when/where that fight ever would have made sense.

CWs bruh.... if guys like Pac can use it unnecessarily... i think GGG vs Ward can be done anywhere between 164-168...

After seeing the size difference between Jacobs and GGG I'd say Golovkin's only chance would be to get it at 164. “Shakespeare? I ain’t never hoid of him. He’s not in no ratings. RE: Golovkin vs Jacobs
I don't see Ward-Golovkin happening, the opportunity has past. If it ever happened though, Ward would be too big, skilled, smart & complete for GGG

RE: Golovkin vs Jacobs
How would GGG have done against Floyd at 154?
All heart. That's what most little guys are. But that counts for a lot. In the gym or the ring all you gotta do is get up one more time than the other guy thinks you can. - Gabrielle Calvocoressi http://www.wanderingpugilist.com |
