If Fres has even 50% of what he was a decade ago....he can box circles around any version of Briggs. BUT....that's the thing...I last saw Fres live in SA against Holyfield in 07...have not seen him since...so I don't know if he has slowed...naturally I'm sure he has just due to age....but I don't know if he's fat now...but I do know he has been inactive for some time now...and that's not good for him either....but Briggs can be painfully plodding at times...and his punches are as slow as molasses...and that was several years ago when he fought the likes of Liachovitch....cannot imagine him being any quicker all these years later.

Believe it or not...I'd like to see Fury fight Haye. IMO...it's a perfect comeback fight for him with little risk and high gains win or lose. Haye looked like absolute garbage in his last fight...age, injury and inactivity have clearly taken their toll on his ability....the fight would be HUGE in England despite both men not being at the top of their games at the moment....so the money would be huge....

AND....if he wins...he gets a nice comeback against a named opponent...plus a huge payday. If he losses it's against a named opponent and he can always say, I had too much ring rust.....plus a huge payday. AND...should it be close either way...they can always make money off a rematch....to me....that's a no brainer...and after his pitiful showing in his last fight I think Haye would be desperate enough to take the fight.

So you'd be picking Fury over Haye? In what fashion?
I see could see Haye despite circumstance and injury, being a live dog for the first 2 rounds or at least make it interesting. We saw what a small heavyweights like Cunningham could do and drop Fury big time. But don't feel Haye would do enough sufficient work and get smothered by the middle rounds and somehow fall apart in the later rounds.

You mentioned at the start of the post of you liking Bellew and think he should enter (stay) in the HW division..
What would you think if they made Fury-Bellew? Would that be a case of rushing Bellew? and how do you see that unfolding if it were to be lined up next?

I could see this being more competitive and dangerous than a Haye fight. It would be a bit of a scrap with some solid moments but feel the size of Fury would be enough to get a decision..

Also, you mentioned Rahman Jr, Trey and James Morrison. Considering you've seen all, how would you rank them as the most promising of all 3? I haven't seen Rahman Jr but iut of the Morrisons, Trey is the most exciting for sure. He is actually pretty good to watch

You ever been to Vegas? Big fights are the busiest nights for the strip. Most fights happen there because casinos pay the biggest site fees.

I have been to Vegas but not for a fight unfortunately. I get all off that. Vegas naturally generates money and for boxing fights it's no different.

In a perfect world though it would be nice to see these big fights in America be spread around the country in sporting venues/stadiums and even smaller towns.

The UK seem to not only put on a good show in terms of the event but make it bigger with a larger crowd full of passionate fight fans than a smaller crowd with a % of it for the media/celebrities & not the general public.

Imagine if Mayweather-Pacqiuao was at a venue that held 50+ thousand fight fans..it would have added to what would have already been a shit fight lol.

Regardless of the attendance, all the big fights in America will be drawn to one single location in a massive country that is meant to be the mecca for the sport all because of the mighty dollar unfortunately.

Yea, it all comes down to money though. You'd need a fighter to make a choice to choose stadiums and fans over Vegas and money though.

Yeah, this is the biggest heavyweight fight feel since Tyson vs Lewis from my memory.

Our prayers have been answered! The Fury's have shown clemency and called off the fight with Joe. Parker is unlikely to be ok'ed anytime in the near future.

I prayed to patron pikey Peter that Joe's life will be spared. God is good. We need Parker to be the king of the division. If Ollie gets to hw champ yes man level then we all make it.

Don't get too comfortable fellas. Joe Parker will be OK'ed at some point. The Fury Gods have decided that now is just not his time.

Hughie and Tyson choose where and when they will squash the competitors, bless them and OK them.

Joseph's time will come.

Breazelle says he'll step in on short notice... what do you guys think of this fight?!

I'll admit it sounds dangerous... DB may not be great but hes def a guy you prepare for. It would also give Joe the opportunity to avenge his stalemates loss.
