Lewis only controlled the WBC and IBF belts. The WBO belt was being passed around by the Klitschkos and Chris Byrd for a few years there, and the WBA belt was basically the Don King belt.

After Tua's piss poor performance against Lewis, there was NOBODY interested in seeing that snoozefest again. Not to mention, that Tua had lost all interest in training and looking like a professional by that point too. The Klit/Byrd storyline was more intriguing than a fat, slow David Tua. He was also stuck in promotional litigation that sidelined him for a couple of years, and kept him from signing with King for a shot at the WBA strap.

I love me some MOTIVATED David Tua, but he was one of the more frustrating fighters to root for in recent memory.
