Obviously there is no excuse to shoot any unarmed man multiple times unless the officer felt threatened. Somehow I think that there had to be a struggle or something that would make a cop decide to shoot so many times.

The officer took a beating in his vehicle, and had a broken eye socket as a result. He was within his legal right to shoot the guy when he was bum rushed the second time.

BUT...I think he could've controlled the situation with less-than-lethal force. The fact that police are given the authority to kill at their discretion is the fact that I have issue with in that case.
