Arturo Gatti-Marcos Maidana
This would have been an all out war! Bombs away here with both landing hard & often. Maidana could be hurt to the body & Gatti was great at throwing downstairs, yet Maidana had a great chin and had more power.
Does this match up look any different if it were at 140 or 147? I feel at 147 the fight is more tactical with Maidana being more effective with the jab and getting a close decision. At 140 it's more competitive and entertaining. Who takes this fight? |

I'm surprised with all the Maidana picks, but agree. Maidana was more crude than Gatti but I think his aggression, toughness & power would be trouble for Gatti who wouldn't have the fire power to win. Gatti would go through hell just to hear the final bell.
