The NEW Beer Thread
I got some Hibernation last Friday...lol...you were right, Spyder...they're close to their old recipe...I like the blue labels better as well...
gravytrain Wrote:any good beers to check out that are at a place like Publix or Sweetbay? i used to just pick up Heineken to have a beer and watch some sports but have moved on to the stuff you cats talk about in here. i've got Sierra Nevada Celebration right now and had their Pale Ale a few weeks ago. i've had some Sam Adams winter lager and their Boston lager too. Well tell us what you thought about the Sierra Nevadas first, and we can take it from there...like...were they too hoppy for you?...any drinkability problems whatsoever?...be honest, because that's the only way we can point you in the best direction... They might have Spaten Optimator at Publix...that's in the OPPOSITE direction of those SNs...it's a strong, malty one...might be too different for you at first... For the record, that SA Winter Lager's not a bad Gateway Beer...check out their Cream Stout if you see it too...those last three Beers were probably among the first wave of Craft Beers I ever tried...they put me on the right path... |
