Conor tried to jump out to protect the non-combatants that Khabib was attacking. Khabib jumped over the cage and was instigating a brawl outside long before Conor leapt onto the cage. Another Khabib team-member jumped on the cage to stop Conor, while someone else was grabbing Conor from behind to pull him down off the cage.

Think about it. All Conor sees is Khabib jumping the cage to attack someone on his team, and two other Khabib team members rushing him (Conor). One jumped on the cage to intercept him while he was going to rescue his teammate, the other was running up to the cage towards Conor, and someone has grabbed him from behind. How is he supposed to react?

And then he gets pulled down off the cage and multiple other Khabib teammates are getting in his face. What is he supposed to do? His instincts were obviously right, as he got punched in the back of the fucking head.

Look, I loathe Conor more than anyone here, but trying to pin this skirmish on him is ludicrous. If Khabib doen't jump the cage and start attacking non-combatants, none of this transpires. He is clearly at fault, and clearly the instigator. There are no two ways about it, no matter how much you hate Conor (and I do.)

The problem some of you have, which I don't and never have, is you let your emotions get in the way and you are unobjective. You don't like Conor's attitude. You don't like all his pre-fight shit. And you were happy to see him get beat. Now your instinct is to blame him and defend the guy who rightfully smashed him in the octagon. That's all fine and good. But Khabib gets no pass for what happened after the fight. It's his fault entirely, and whatever happens won't be punishment enough. He comes from a third world shithole, and has shithole third world values, and proved it beyond doubt.
