Yeah...but you get blasted by the brother in law and that's it? For killing someone?
He should spend the rest of his life being miserable or in jail or in utter repentance for the sin of basically killing a homeless man, not happy and content for the rest of his life after getting a little told off! That's what I mean about it being morally uneven. In a normal comedy (say Sunny or something) you let that shit pass as it's part of the comedic effect. But this was Ricky's vehicle to demonstrate his moral values and put a perspective on happiness and life...and the moral ambiguity with that scene spoiled the overall message. Black |
