Early 2000s, off-beat humor, produced by David Letterman's company. Really enjoyed it when it was one and hadn't seen it since. No DVDs. No syndication. No streaming anywhere. Just made me remember how many of those are just.... gone. I've been able to locate a few of them. Wanted, a show on TNT that only lasted 13 episodes but DEFINITELY deserved a lot more, is one I was able to get back somehow. Then you have a show like Midnight Caller. 1988-91 on NBC. Gary Cole's first major role. Groundbreaking. Written well and went on the offensive with some brash topics for the time. Season 1 is on YouTube... the other two seasons are long gone. It just sucks. Meanwhile, so much absolute tripe is readily available and almost inescapable. |
