RE: TV shows/series
I actually really liked season 2. Season 1 ended with him making progress and not wanting to die and finding a purpose in life.
It felt like season 2 had no where to go with how season 1 ended and yes, there wasn't much progress....but the message is all in the title "After Life" and in one of the last scenes with the woman and the man at the cemetery, the man says he can some up life in 3 words....'it goes on'. Season 2 is just a reminder that things just don't get better overnight, even if things do get a little 'better'. It still showed the struggles, relapses etc while still getting better one day at a time. The scene with the woman and man walking off in the cemetery hinting at a possible relationship between them highlighted how long progress can take with moving on in contrast to Tony being at the begining of not wanting to move on with his dead wife. I thought season 2 was great with the message. It's about the struggles people with depression face. Nothing much was added to the 'story line' because I think that was his point....you just don't get better overnight so a lot of the same issues present in season 1 repeated in season 2. I really enjoyed it, and yes Pat was excellent in the season. |
