RE: TV shows/series

I loved it, and my partner got right into it as well. I loved Lost as well. The first season was as close to perfect as I've ever seen a show come. The show had some hiccups along the way, but I actually liked the way it ended. So many great characters too. Jack, Locke, Sawyer, Hurley, Ben, Sayid. Scenes that always stick in my mind is the creepy Locker/orange-peel smile, Locke pounding on the Hatch door shouting "I did everything you asked, so why are you doing this to ME!?", and Jack laying down on the beach at the end, and Vincent coming to lay down beside him. The whole ending sequence there was perfect, a complete inversion of the first scene from season 1. The first scene we ever have of the show is Jack opening his eyes in daylight, lying on the beach, Vincent beside him as his lungs fill with breath. Jack then standing up, ready to take charge. The final scene is Jack in near darkness stumbling back to the beach. We see him lay down, giving up his charge at last, his final breaths leaving his body. Vincent back at his side, and his eye closes. Jack, the man of science, at last the man of faith, walking into the church, reuniting with his friends. Once lost, now found.
