Gervonta Davis-Abner Mares feb 9th.
Good matchup. Davis first major step up & against a named opponent. Mares has never quite got his former self back & seems to have been laying low since his first loss to Gonzales.
Does Mares still have it & does Davis have enough?? How does this one go? Davis by KO! |

Perfect matchmaking for Davis - great fight in terms of getting ring experience against a guy he should beat fairly comfortably.
Hopefully it goes at least 8 rounds so we can have a better gauge of Davis's potential. Hard to believe Mares is only 33. He's had a hell of a career - very few guys in the sport with his resume of opponents. |
