RE: Canelo - Jacobs May 4th
I had the first level as nothing was done between them. It would be a shame to give either the round when so little landed.
I think Jacobs landed the single best punch of the fight, although I cant remember which round it was. It was a huge left from the southpaw stance in the mid rounds somewhere. But besides that I think a lot of his shots were a little loose and wide and lacking power. He'd let a lot of little flurries go with not much pop behind them and his jab lacked the authority of Canelo's. Canelo did have his usual mid round fade and Jacobs came back into it but I think it's a stretch to actually give him more of the middle rounds than Canelo. Actual punches landed were fairly even, but Canelo's were better scoring shots and he exhibited better defence, too. Black |
