All spirits are made the same way I think. You start with water and something that contains sugar. Let it ferment to get an alcohol content, then distill it to concentrate the alcohol upwards.
Guys who make moonshine are pretty much just making home brew of some sort and then they have the still (pretty much illegal to own in the UK) to distill it. |

 But my guess is one’s knowledge of spirits and other narcotics is directly disproportionate to their knowledge of politics.
