If there is a shitty alternate version of the WBA belt going spare or held by some German kid noone knows then Canelo can claim it pretty easily (with a 172 catchweight clause thrown in just in case), call himself a 175 champ, defend against whoever holds a 140lb strap at the moment (or 135 if the 140's are too good) and then go back down to 168 once the main guys at the weight lose.
