I don't know about that... I wouldn't say the first half - the first 3 rounds, no doubt. Rounds 4 and especially 5 (first round Ward really HURT Gatti) Ward was getting there more, landing the left hook to the body and you could "feel" that Gatti was going to encounter some serious adversity. I personally thought the drama started in round 4, but that's my view.

The 3rd fight I guess overall was more drama filled thanks to Gatti's broken hand, but he still won it convincingly.

The first fight was a pick em essentially.

I need to rewatch it.


I didn't watch it live, I caught the replay, and I remember being a teensy weensy bit disappointed. I'll try and see it again with fresh eyes.




For me, though, the ultimate Gatti fight was with Ivan Robinson I. IF ONLY Gatti had pulled off the miracle stoppage in the 10th. He so nearly did, it would have been the greatest fight of all time.
