Things not thread worthy
Fitz Wrote:I don't think that following Morales' 4 back to back losses and his retirement that many thought he would be back, but those 3 years did him a lot of good. I also don't think in 2006 when Pacquiao was on a roll that many thought he had peaked. I think it was following the Mosley fight that Pacquiao stated that his legs didn't feel like they used to, and IMO it showed in that performance and the few he's had since. Pacquiao is a guy that relies on those legs more than most to do what he does in there... foot speed, in and out, angles etc so if that has diminished (which by his own admission it has) he's going to struggle more and we've seen that. I think that fact alone is why Morales would have a better showing should they meet again at 147.BrutalBodyShots Wrote:That's how I feel.Fitz Wrote:I was thinking of this the other night, and I found the outcome I came up with strange.I think he would do better, but mostly because IMO Pacquiao has declined. I do think a break from the harsh back to back fights that Morales was involved in back when he lost to Pacquiao has helped Morales in his "come back" but I don't think he's reinvented himself or anything. I think there's a good chance he goes the distance now though and loses a competitive but clear decision to Pacquiao, similar to the scores when he faced Garcia. |
