Honestly if I have to read one more interview where Khan't blames Roach for losing I'm gonna puke.

I'm pretty sure even Freddie didn't advocate that chinless wonder to chase Garcia around the ring with his hands down.

"Khan's realisation that he had to leave Roach, and Los Angeles, followed his defeat by Danny Garcia last summer, after he had been controversially beaten by Lamont Peterson in Washington DC, just eight months earlier.
'Things were wrong, but I never picked up on them,' said Khan. 'I blame myself because I could have done things differently. At the Wild Card, it was all about showing how brave you are. It's a famous gym and you're always on show. Being world champion, you didn't want to look stupid, or look like an ordinary fighter, or that some kid could come along and beat you up in sparring. At the Wild Card, I used to have wars with everyone.

'Stars like Mark Wahlberg, Mickey Rourke, Snoop Dog, Sugar Ray Leonard, even Lennox Lewis, came to see me train. You think you've made it. I used to put on a performance. They want to be your friend, but I now know it takes away from what got you there in the first place: boxing.
'Normally, I'm a very humble man. But when people come over and say there's this party happening and people like yourself should be there, it's a big thing, it does change you.
'At the last camp for the Garcia fight, I went to four parties. It's not me. But then you'd be seen mixing with A-list celebrities, like Jennifer Lopez, and they all say nice things. You think, "Wow, they know me". You see people on TV and you remember they'd spoken to you at a party. But I also know that it's a story of boxers down the years.'
Even though, as a Muslim, Khan does not drink, he found himself intoxicated by his environment. His fight against Garcia, when he was knocked down three times by the end of the fourth round, caused him to realise that his wars in training had become counter-productive.

Khan explained: 'What you do in sparring is what you take into the fight. It looks amazing when you have a trainer who holds the pads for you, and you go "bang, bang, bang", and your hand speed is quick and the noise bounces around the gym. But you are not really learning anything. Freddie's a great trainer. I don't want him to think I blame him. It's just that I couldn't take any more in. I needed a different take, a different twist.'
Khan phoned Roach to tell him he would not be returning last summer. Since then Hunter has made a huge impression on Khan, telling him that a big heart and a capacity to run headlong through a hail of punches was placing him on the road to oblivion.
'I felt Amir didn't have an understanding of boxing,' said Hunter, 60. 'You have to know when to do something and when not to, and how to execute a strategy.'
Hunter's gym is austere. Khan is discouraged from taking friends to training, even if they have flown in from his home town, Bolton. On Tuesday, Hunter bellowed at Khan to stop midway through sparring as he lounged against the ropes fending off punches with his gloves.

Khan recalled: 'Virgil looked at me and said, "Why the hell are you stood there? It only takes one shot to get through a gap. Think. Move away. Get your boxing head on".

'No one ever told me off like that before. He's disciplined, he's teaching me. He's made me a different fighter defensively. I shouldn't have been getting caught as I was. He said he didn't understand why I always went to war. He drilled into me that if I continued to fight like that I'd always be one punch away from getting hurt. Sometimes, being too ballsy is a bad thing. He's shown me it's better beating my opponent up instead of wanting to knock him out."
