Donaire could very well have done similar work had he stayed at 115-118 pounds. The 122-126 pound shit was unnecessary and by going there he naturally abandoned a good portion of his athleticism and power, which were probably his best 2 assets. I think at 115-118 he could have continued to be a top P4P fighter for several more years, possibly still today if he hadn't moved up. But, of course, we'll never know. |
