RE: Things not thread worthy
Does anyone know if the performance of judges is reviewed in any way? For nearly all jobs in life the employee is reviewed in some way; some sort of measurables are usually used to gauge performance to determine if one is failing to meet expectations, meeting them or exceeding them.
I'd think the sanctioning bodies would want to review the performance of judges with respect to how accurate their scores are compared to the consensus average and some sort of "grade" would be arrived at for that judge based on their performance. Instances of turning in a "bad" or "horrible" score card should hurt their "grade" and instances of getting it dead on should help it. Then, the judges appointed for fights should have to possess a certain grade or better... with even stricter standards to judge world title fights. There should be some sort of system in place to keep judges honest and keep them wanting to do a good job. |
