I don't remeber which thread it was, but I remember talking about a university in Southampton publishing a report concluding that consciousness survived death.

Being your typical godless atheist asshole, he was immediately offended and made some snarky remark about it being bullshit and that no scientist in the world agreed with that theory.

I listed the names of neurosurgeons who'd written books affirming the same conclusion of conciousness surviving death, as well as an article of many others that agreed. But, Decagon being Decagon, he misread a snippet and then got high and mighty with his I-told-you-so's. When I pointed out his error, that actually that was a list of scientists who actually agreed with the conclusion, he promptly dismissed the university, the books, and the article. He said he would only accept evidence that had been put under peer-review.

At that point, I supplied him with over 100 peer reviewed articles of neurosurgeons and other scientists who'd come to similar conclusions, namely that consciousness survives death.

Of course, I'm hitting him with a barrage of insults at every turn because he was being an intolerable douche at every turn, or in other words, being himself.

Anyway, he thoroughly embarrassed himself in that thread and finally just checked out of here for good.

And I'll tell you something, for a guy as smart as he thinks himself to be, he should be embarrassed at how easily I raped him on our debate about Jesus, and then life after death. I mean, seriously, how many people can take the stances I did and come off sounding reasonable, rational, and well-informed, while the guy arguing from the "scientific" point of view got throttled, and came off sounding like an ignorant, irrational, unreasonable ideologue.

I'd be proud of my work in those debates if I wasn't convinced I was arguing with a legit retard. As it stands, I'm just angry that someone that stupid had the gall to breathe the same air as me.
