Yeah, it was casuals, or at least semi-fans. Guys in the pub. Old lads sat in bars. It was just an anecdote. I wasn't trying to prove a point, or anything. That's why I used the phrase "on another note" - to distance it from the discussion we were having.
And Wlad is one of the best to ever do it in the heavyweight division. I'm not sure what you're reading into what I've said. I have never ever shit on Wlad. Once. He is a genuine all time great and I've always been a fan of him as a fighter and as a diplomat in the sport. The rest of what you wrote has no bearing on the depth of the division from approx 2011 to Wlad's loss to Tyson Fury, which, of course, signalled the end of the era. I'm guessing Fury is one of the guys you are referring to? Joshua (who I'm guessing is the other guy) came after that. They fought in 2017. Black |
