I'm not sure how that changes what I wrote.

The fact that he took the fight and did so well in the fight proves how competitive he was, even if you think HAgler won or Leonard tried to edge it out.

Edit: just reread my post and wondered if it read like all three statements were being applied to the Hagler fight. They weren't. The out-toughing the tough guy was a reference to Duran, the outpunching the puncher was in reference to Hearns and the middleweight title was Hagler. Hope that clarifies.
