It's incredible that after all these years we're still talking about these 4 guys.

The entire point - and the crucial lesson here - is that it didn't matter if they won or lost those fights because they were all great fighters who fought the best (each other) and who left it all in the ring.

Nobody cares that Hearns lost to Leonard or Hagler. Outside of Ali and maybe Chavez, I'm not sure any boxer in our lifetimes has ever been more loved than Hearns.

SRL's blemishes (if he has any) don't have anything to do with questionable judges' decisions. Nobody would ever argue that he left anything in the ring against Hagler. He finished the rounds strong to sway the judges because he was old and smart and that was the only chance he had in a fight where a lot of people thought he might get killed.

Who could have predicted that Hagler would have been the heartbreak kid?

And Duran was, of course, the baddest, meanest, toughest and coolest fighter of all time - so cool, in fact, that he could pull a "no mas" and still be cooler than everyone else because he had that much Kwan to spare.
