The first fight was magnificent but the rematch showed just how much Fenech had left it all in the ring during that first clash. Two, great, great fighters.

Loved the first fight, fought in the pockets for what felt like all 12 rounds. The disgusting decision tarnished the fight.
Game over Jeffery in the 2nd. Jeff was always a cry baby though, never a fan of him as a person. |

He was blatantly robbed in the first & had lost his desire to fight in the 2nd. Bear in mind that it was not a run of the mill robbery he was undefeated fighting for a world title in his 4th division. I think (correct me if I am wrong) he would have been the first 4 division undefeated champion.
Both great champions & Jeff showed how Australian fighters can be "homers" but still fight genuine world class opposition & not feast on bums. |

Great fights. Thanks for the uploads. I watched both of these on TV and frankly if the first one had been scored correctly it is highly unlikely there would've been a need for the rematch.
