RE: British Boxing thread
Three years ago IS years and years ago, isn't it?

I know all the reasons he had a prolonged absence from the ring. And whatever the reasons are, I'm pretty sure it's unfair for him to stroll back into a title shot whilst someone else has been putting in all the hard graft and taking on all the other contenders to get to the top.

It's not even as if Fury was an established and long reigning champ who was forced to take time off.

He had ONE title fight, gave up the belts and then went on a massive drug and booze binge whilst Dillian Whyte did all the hard work to get to the top.

Ali also had three years out of the ring and was the lineal champion...but he at least fought Jerry Quarry and Oscar Bonavena to earn his chance at regaining the belt.

I'm.not saying Fury doesn't deserve a chance, because being a former champ and beating Klitschko is still a big deal.

But he's had one shot...Now let Whyte have one. He's earned it more than Fury.

RE: British Boxing thread
I think Eubank Jr is good for boxing as he generates a lot of interest (most of it dislike, but all publicity is good publicity), therefore I'd like him to pull it off.

DeGale has looked a little shot since the Jack fight.

Win, lose or draw..as long as DeGale's sister is at ringside!
