10 weeks? Nah, I don't think so, how many games is that?

Stevenski, doesn't look like much, but that doesn't surprise me. In AFL as well, they are very strict and try to protect players head and necks.
I don't know what happened to the player that got dumped, like if he got badly hurt or not. But doesn't surprise me, as the AFL sometimes give over the top penalties on things they are really trying to eliminate for the game. They make a lot of effort to make sure nobody ever walks away with a permanent injury, so while it doesn't look like 10 weeks. They are really just trying to avoid someone getting dumped on there head and becoming a paraplegic.

I don't follow NRL, so I'm not sure if the punishment for that move has been consistent with other similar incidents. I do know with AFL, they will lack consistency for dishing out punishments for similar incidents when players go to the tribunal.

He took the early plea & copped 7 weeks = 7 games & my team without one of our biggest strike weapons.

I still get in trouble for calling it the judiciary down here! The problem with the suspension is that he did not lift between the legs but they say an example had to be made. By the same token another player Robbie Farah did a similar tackle but more dangerous in the same round of football & he copped 2 fuckin weeks. I have no problem with severe penalties for dangerous tackles but there has to be consistency. Same deal with the AFL & their inconsistency in suspensions.

C'mon boys I want to see big hits & foul play from all sports. Especially ones that are malicious & designed to hurt the opponent.
