In my opinion, the Tournament was DOA.
How are you supposed to keep a scheduled tourney when a sport like boxing has so many injuries? That was the FIRST thing that popped into my head when I heard about it. Ultimately, the injuries and subsequent pullouts ENDED the whole Tournament deal. It's become nothing more that a LOOOONG battle of attrition. A "Last Man Standing" that has spanned a few calendar years. It's given us good fights, and it's brought attention to a division that few people cared about...which are both good things. But it was not a Tournament. A Tournament takes place in a month...TOPS. Amateur Tourney's happen every weekend, and are over by the end of the weekend. lol This shit just dragged on for FAR too long. "And you got your own steez about you that I appreciate bro.
