I know he had a successful solo career, but I never thought of him in that regard. Speaking of tag teams, I'd love to see some lists of those too. One of my favorites was Demolition, even though they are thought of as a Road Warriors clone...Hawk and Animal HAVE to be at the top of everyone's list.

I look at Bret Hart much more than just a better half of a great tag team. I think he was one of the few that was able to break away from a great tag team and continue a great solo career under the same character.

What are your thoughts on Shawn Michaels as a solo? I'm just asking because he was similar to Bret Hart (though the Rockers not as great) where he started out as one of the popular tag teams and broke out from that in the early 90's and has since been a singles wrestler for most of the time.

I view Shawn Michaels about the same. His work with HHH and DX changed my perception a little bit with him, but I never bought him as a bad ass solo guy either. I know this is probably controversial to see them this way, but when I think about those guys...that's just the impression that is left in my memory.

Strange as it may sound, Booker T is an easier sell for me as a solo guy than Hart or Michaels.
