So, I signed up for the WWE Network last week (they are offering a free month trial period for new subscribers), and I have to say, it is fucking awesome.

I haven't watched wrestling in nearly 20 years, and have no interest in the current product, but their back catalog of programming is amazing. That's why I signed up, and I haven't been disappointed. They have all the Nitro/Raw programs, so if you're a fan of the Monday Night Wars and WWF's Attitude era, you should definitely give it a try.

They don't have all of WCW's programming up yet (WCW Power Hour, WCW Saturday Night, or WCW Sunday Night Main Events) or even WWF's programming (Superstars, for example), but I suspect it's likely because most of those programs were full of squash matches between the big name guys and jobbers.)

That said, the content they do have is unbelievable, in good quality, and pretty comprehensive as far as matches you'd actually want to go back and watch, even if it took place in Great Smokey Mountain wrestling or some other regional org.

Going back and looking at this shit has really given me an appreciation for some of the guys I was never a huge fan of back in the day, like Bret Hart. He really is just about the best technical wrestler they ever had.

Just finished a War Games match last night featuring Sting's Squadron (Sting, Ricky Steamboat, Dustin Rhodes, Barry Windham, and Nikita Kolov) versus the Dangerous Alliance (Rick Rude, Steve Austin, Larry Zbyszko, Bobby Eaton, and the great Arn Anderson.) Man, was that a fucking great match. Almost everyone but Sting was busted wide open and bleeding all over the place by the end.
