Countries where boxing is big?
With the Olympic coming up I started thinking which countries will produce the most talent this year. Then that got me thinking which countries is boxing most popular in at the moment?

U.S.A
Mexico
Puerto Rico
England
Japan
Philippines
Cuba
South Africa
Russia
Australia

I can't believe you left Germany off the list.

I think boxing is always one exciting fighter away from being huge in most developed countries because most countries don't have baseball, football or basketball to fill up the daily highlight reels. I noticed that in Europe, sports like swimming and track get real air time on the news even when it's not the Olympics. That's why Germany, England and Canada are able to fill big arenas with guys like Hatton, Bute, and Abraham.

(Note that someone asked on another thread if Abraham was a God for fighting 9 rounds with a broken jaw. I would say no, but he's definitely an immortal because he had an immortal performance. That said, he wouldn't be filling arenas in the US because there are too many more exciting fighters to compete with here.)
