The new "it" thing is to give your child a unique name. Those aren't that bad when you consider what celebrities name their kids. But because you brought it up...

Fiscal Cliff - what a load of crap.
My taxes are going up under any scenario, and that is what the election was about. What if we did go off this supposed Fiscal Cliff? 1. All of your taxes will go up substantially. 2. There will be substantial budget cuts across the board. That sounds like a compromise of sorts to me. From a business perspective, I would prefer that those making less than $300,000 not endure a tax increase beyond an increase in the Social Security Cap, and that a decent safety net be maintained. There is plenty of pork to be sliced, including (and especially) in the DOD. Privatization of military support services has been a fiscal disaster that has furthered the corporate fascist movement. To that end, Goldman Sachs executives should be investigated, prosecuted, and (in a perfect world) hung for their attempt to institute global corporatism, as an example. A Constitutional amendment should be passed to eliminate the effects of the Citizens United decision. In the meantime, I will pay my higher tax rate and fight on. |

I just wish that our elected officials would have our best interests in mind rather than those of their donors.
Term limits is a good start to fixing that practice. "And you got your own steez about you that I appreciate bro. I see it." - Snoop |
